Granddaughter #1 turned 5 yesterday and the official birthday party was today. The family had invited a few young friends and their parents, and had hired a bouncy castle for the morning. As granddaughter #2 also has a birthday very soon, they both had lots of presents to open.
We were the first to arrive. When the dog next door started barking, GD #1 came running out and climbed up on the gate to see who it was.
My husband @nzkites and I took photos and video to record the day.
Until now I have been using a free photo editing programme to border my images. For some reason it seems to soften them at the same time, most noticeably in the ones taken with my camera. It doesn't seem to affect the phone photos as much. I have decided to choose sharpness over the finished look a border gives. If anyone has suggestions on another programme to use I will be interested to hear them. We don't have Photoshop or Lightroom.
