After a full week of using it, I'm starting to get used to my 50mm fixed lens. At least I'm not tempted to zoom it by accident anymore. haha. After snapping this lamppost, I didn’t really like the shot. So had some fun with it photoshop and like much more now.
Yes, prime lenses take a bit of getting used to, but it is a great little lens, especially when you are out for the day or travelling, it's small, compact and light and can cope with an astonishing variety of situations! I really like mine and am sure you will too!
@paintdipper - Thank you so much for the kind words Junan!
@jackie8 - That's so true Jackie! I feel more comfortable with the small and compact nature of the lens. So easy for everyday use and blending in without people staring at the lenth of a long zoom lens haha.
Nice editing. You'll love your 50mm .... once you get used to moving your feet instead of zooming. lol. At least that was my challenge when I got mine.
Thanks everybody for your awesome comments. Really encouraging to know you liked the editing I did too!
@makailsmom - Haha that was a challenge but I'm getting used to it and find it to be a nice change of pace. I still love zooming with my zoom lens but it's also fun moving around and getting closer with the prime.
@yonnie - Thanks! The big difference is no zooming but I also feel like I'm getting more images that are sharper. It's been fun thus far.
