Taking photos at the beach can be really relaxing and enjoyable. There's something about hearing the crashing waves and the squawking seagull that's so calming. Just watch your camera in all that sand! This is the Santa Monica Beach which is also considered a State Park in California. It's a popular place not only for the beach but also for it's pier, shops, celebrity's homes, and other attractions.
Here I went for some major blues by using the tungsten light white balance to really emphasize them. I've always loved the way this white balance changes the tone and mood of a sunset. Cool blue :)
@maggiemae - Thanks Maggie! White balance techniques can really add to a photo sometimes, but sometimes they don't. Guess it depends on the subject, but here it worked out really good.
