This is a pink trumpet tree. The striking pink color has been very noticeable in the parks lately. In California, trumpet trees usually drop their leaves in late winter. Therefore, the trees currently have flowers but no leaves! Isn't it gorgeous how the trumpet-shaped flowers have that yellow accent? Makes me wanna pick one up and play the blues...wait...would that even work? :/
