(Day 88) - Super Mario by cjphoto

(Day 88) - Super Mario

We're back to Monday, which means I'm shooting the color red. Decided to focus on the signature red hat of one of the world's most popular video game characters, Super Mario.

Mario was created in the 80s, back when video games didn't have all the realistic graphics they have today. They looked more like pixels. The guy who created Mario didn't like drawing hairstyles and animating hair in a video game was a huge challenge so he gave Mario a hat. Also, to make a little man made of pixels stand out from his surroundings he gave him a mustache, a large round nose, and vibrant colors, which is why his hat is bright red. Today, Mario still has similar features but also has an 'M' on his hat along with brownish/red hair. He's even more super than before! M:-})
What a fabulous red.

My son said maybe you can do Luigi for the green day. That was interesting background on Mario, and good shot. .

@annika82 - That's awesome Annika. Guess your Mario captured the heart of his princess too. At least he doesn't have to save you from giant turtles. haha
