(Day 257) - Hurricane Ride

This is my absolute favorite Lego set of all time!! Love it for so any reasons. First off, absolutely love biplanes (because they look so vintage and awesome), secondly it was a surprise gift from my dad when I was little, and thirdly it's just awesome! :D

The Lego pilot's name is Harry Cane. A year or so after receiving this set, I lost him and couldn't find him anywhere. A couple of months ago, though, while searching though eBay, someone was selling him for just a couple of bucks! Perfect! It's a simple Lego set but it holds so many childhood memories and stories, especially when I would pretend to fly the little guy in a wild hurricane. Now I can mix two passions as I recreate that childhood imagination in a photograph. :)

How I did it: Tied the biplane with three different white strings (on the wings and back tail) at different levels. Then while holding a watering can a few feet above the toy, I let it pour and used continuous shooting mode to catch several frames). Later, edited out any visible white strings in Photoshop. :)
Fabulous work Chris

Got to be a fav. We love lego in our house. Have you watched the Lego movie this year? My favourite film this year....I just love it. Not sure whether 34 yr old ladies are supposed to like it so much....

@gilbertwood - Thanks! That's awesome, Lego can be fun no matter the age. I've been wanting to buy a particular set but I'm holding off. Have other things to buy at the moment.
