(Day 320) - Y is for Yellowing Effect

For the letter "Y," I'm applying a bit of yellowing in today's Alphabet Technique. Some love vintage photographs, but feel that yellowing is a sign of wear and tear. For others, it attempts to make the photo look more authentic. In any case, I had a blast playing around with this image to make it look like it came from the days of yesteryear. Hmmm...but there's something about this photo that gives it's time period away... ◠‿◠
Love alternative photography- palladium in particular. Do you use this baby?

Could The giveaway be the little satellite dish in the lower left-hand corner? Perfect choice for the Y segment of your alphabet! And the yellowing did give it a very vintage look!

Such a cool old-time looking photo, great yellowing! This amazing camera I had to google - it's so old and so awesome!!! You must have not been born when it was originally purchased?! :)

@joysabin - I've only used it once! I'm going to have to get some film for it and maybe take a photo of the camera I used to make this photo! :)

@grammyn - Yep, good eyes Katy! I've never yellowed an image, even for a vintage photo because I didn't like the look. This is the first time I actually liked the results!

@kerosene - Haha it sure is! A twin lens reflex I believe it is called. It belongs to my dad and I think he did buy it before I was born!

@cruiser - Thanks a lot Chris! It's a really fun challenge!

@francoise - Awesome, that's exactly the look I was going for. Thanks Francoise!

@susanjberman - I didn't like yellowing before and only did it because of the letter "Y" but now I like it too! Thanks for the kind remarks!

@gilbertwood - Hahahaha I was wondering if someone would notice the camera brand starts with "Y!" Thanks Denise!!

OMG...if you hand't said it, I would have missed that on the left! This DOES look old, but I think a lot of it was poor chemical processing. We "old folks" have a lot of "beigh period" photos! I KNOW they weren't that way when we shelled out the bucks and picked them up!

@Weezilou - Yeah that's so true! Being a 'youngster' sometimes I forget that the photos weren't created that way, kinda of like how some 'youngsters' think that 'old folks' were always 'old folks,' haha.
