(Day 139) - Black Cherry by cjphoto

(Day 139) - Black Cherry

This month I'll be shooting the color Black! However, Black is technically not a color; a black object absorbs all the colors of the visible spectrum and reflects none of them to the eyes. So our eyes perceive black or very, very dark grey.

This cherry was red but I've found that certain colors turn black in b&w photography. I'm really looking forward to all the creative fun I'm going to have with this "color" this month. :)

Oh how fun, black will be awesome too. Interesting that the cherry doesn't turn more gray, but I guess it's quite a dark red... Looking forward to another fabulous month!!

You'll find reds and blues really love black and white- leaning towards the black side of black and white that is. Looking forward to your month! I'm doing black and white as well only in very high key and high contrast. I thought the end of the month would look really cool in the calendar view. We'll see...

@shylaine3304 - Thanks Erika! To tell you the truth, I haven't decided if it'll be all black and white or not. I'm kind of just going with the flow and seeing at happens. :D
