We have fast-forwarded in the lives of our Paperclip Family. Not only has Junior married the woman of his dreams, but they now have twins! What a super happy occasion for the family, the first grandclips! We began with a new addition and have now ended with one…or two. :)
This is it. A full month of our Paperclip Family! Whew! These took a lot of work & time: about 3 hours or more for each photo (setup & editing out props in post-production). Even with all that, it was insanely fun to share with you my wacky imagination & love for family life. As a kid, I loved pretending any object was a person or vehicle and was fascinated with expressions & postures in cartoons. Nice to know I still got it. :)
Thank you for the great support. Each of your thoughts meant so much to me, especially when they made you laugh. Also, really appreciate your patience when it was tough to keep up with your projects. And, yes, I am working on a book, a paperclip family album of sorts. It’ll take some time (cleaning up images, selecting their placement, & figuring out where to get the book made). Will definitely let you guys know when it’s finished. In the meantime, may you all continue to make precious memories with your own families. :)
While I’ll miss this family, my mind was on overdrive & needs a break. So next, I’ll try a full month of my favorite photo composition: negative space.
EDIT: The book is complete and up for purchase!! Please click here to check it out.
It has been a fast and furious month with you. Your imagination knows no bounds and your skills keep up with that beautifully. This last picture is no exception and an excellent example of that. I'm looking forward to a month of your negative space
Whoa! I'm glad I got to enjoy my children growing up, marrying and having children at a slower pace than this! I've truly enjoyed this month and will look forward to the book! You may want to look into the print on demand format if you don't want to carry inventory. Best wishes there! Love what looks like high-fives from the parents too!
I'm assuming she is the keyboardist from The Bottle Caps...."grandclips"....?!?!...great word...3-hours per...wow! the work shows...I am honored to be part of your audience and cheering squad for this and all your work.
@gardenfolk - Haha I know right! He's a lot like his dad, they really move when love is involved. Thanks so much for the wonderful comments throughout the series.
@olivetreeann - Thanks so very much Ann! I had to really speed it up that last week! But I highly recommend the slower pace too. I'm still in the middle of researching but that's a good idea, I'll look into those. And yep, the Dad is pretty proud of his son. :)
@granagringa - Yep, she sure is! She said she fell for the way his skinny arms played the guitar, much to Junior's dismay. All that weight-lifting for nothing :P Yep 3 hours. I just had to reshuffle my time around and stay up a little longer to get it done. Thanks for all the many and funny comments you left!
@lyndemc - Thanks you soooo much Denise! At the beginning of the month, I actually feared that I would bore you guys with same paperclip family but as it kept going, I was getting more and more excited as to all the scenarios to share. I'm so happy to know that each picture was a treat. :)
What a great ending - and a beautiful beginning. Twins! Imagine!
Well done on your month of wonderful family life and stories. So nice to watch them grow.
Thank you for taking the time to share with us.
@farmreporter - Thank you very much Wendy! My mom has two sets of twin siblings so I tried to imagine the excitement of my grandparents back then. Haha. So very happy you enjoyed the series! :)
@stimuloog - Haha thank you Marlos!! The negative space photos are fun & helpful but it's a little tougher than I thought to get my ideas flowing. Probably spent them all on my paperclip series. Haha. Thanks also for the Fav!!
