(Day 59) - The Getty Villa

Today, I went with some friends (including CJ) on a tour of the Getty Villa. It's a museum filled with artifacts from Greek and Roman culture. In fact, the architecture of the entire Villa is designed to look like Pompeii before it was destroyed by that dreadful eruption. This courtyard was CJ's favorite. It was like a peaceful step back in time. 😄

(Just a sidenote: Wanted to travel light so only took my 50mm lens with me. I'm not used to using this lens for small CJ shots at all. Therefore, my image feels a bit off. There's a much more shallow depth of field than I wanted even though I was using a very high aperture number. Gonna have to practice more. 😉)

While it would have been great to seen the secenery in better focus I think you did a perfect job of making this about CJ instead of the background. No need to practice You nailed it!

I think it's really interesting only having him in focus, after all he is the star of the show!
