(Day 282) - Picnic in the Zoo

At the Old LA Zoo, picnic tables have been added to some of the abandoned enclosures. (Don't know why flowers were left on some of the tables though. Perhaps there was some kind of event here recently.)

Anyhoo, CJ finds it ironic and humorous to enjoy a picnic in a spot where, years ago, you could BECOME lunch if you entered the enclosure. πŸ€£πŸ…
I'm with CJ, the irony is strong. He is wise to keep his PoV at a distance.

It is kind of ironic, at that. I think it would be cool to picnic in one of the retired enclosures.

These enclosures remind me so much of the zoo of my childhood. The flowers look to me like kids may have passed through recently. So there is clearly wildlife around and about.

It is really ironic!

Great narrative to go with these abandoned settings.

Is the whole zoo abandoned or is it just certain places where animals used to be on display? It does look kind of odd! But CJ has certainly made it interesting.

@francoise - Haha the comment about wildlife made me laugh out loud. There were some VERY active kids running around so you're right!
