When I first saw this creature, I had no idea what I was looking at! It was still folded like a cocoon, when I first spied it. Then the legs started appearing.
I finally figured out it was an insect that was molting. The big beak gave me a clue. It's a Wheel Bug nymph. I recently posted one in its cute little red stage in my extras album. The Wheel Bug goes through five molts, before it's an adult.
