Another hot day and no rain. I was surprised to see a few more butterflies today. I haven't seen any Clouded Sulphurs in awhile. The place where I saw them is right beside the woods and gets a lot of shade. Shade is my friend right now! It's also where the little green snakes live, but I still haven't seen one this year.

Great shot - and now that you mention it, I haven't seen many of these either lately - just a few butterflies (in poor condition) and some skippers. This heat and dry weather is a killer! Really love your colors and dof here.
It's been raining all the time here the last few days. Nothing around here to photograph except rain ;-) Managed to get a few flowers in between. This shot is exceptional ...love it and a fav. Would love to have this framed.
