I was lucky enough to find this Silver-spotted Skipper soon after I went outside. It was 98F today and it's going to be the same tomorrow. This weekend, it's going to be in the 100s. There's no rain in the seven day forecast. Thankfully, the humidity isn't too bad right now. I'm worried about the wildlife.
Sending prayers to my 365 friends and family members in Colorado. The fires there are devastating!
Thank you for your kind comments and faves on yesterday's butterfly pic! :0)
Beautiful shot. Great focus and composition. It was over 100 here today. the plants are beginning to suffer. I think the birds are suffering too. I did not go outside in the afternoon to see how the insects were doing.
Loved your skipper - hadn't seen this one - think we have matching weather and forecasts as well as wildlife. Couldn't even scare up a dragonfly this evening it's so hot - first night without a breeze though our humidity was lower, too. Do so enjoy your pictures.
Hoping your family and friends are ok too. it sure is a horrible time they are having. good vibes to them... Rick asked if you are putting them in a book. I want to know are you pinning them to a board and framing them?? lmao !!
The fires are horrible, aren't they.
Love your butterfly, so pretty and love the little hairs on the leaves, my eyes go from them to the flower, then to Mrs Flutterby:0)
