Upton upon Severn in the floods by clifford

Upton upon Severn in the floods

After today's walk we drove for about 20 in the local area to see the extent of the floods. People are amazing the way they are coping. Areas were flooded unto 3/4 of a mile from the river severn. It's peaking today at 7.21 meters above normal. Great for photographers. zillions out, but not so good for farm animals.
Great capture.

Interesting shot with the boat just right there. The weather seems to be doing weird things right around the world. :)

@koalagardens Thank you. We watched a rescue crew in action this morning. Impressive.

@robz Your watch the news about flooding all round the world, then it's on your doorstep. We're not on the flood plain. I do feel for those whose homes are flooded unto the kitchen worktops.

Amazing photo of a hard time for many. I once saw horses bending move by helicopters during flooding. It a sight I'll never forget

stay safe - it brings back memories of the floods here a couple of years ago

Oh dear, I think it is about time someone switched off the rain switch. Parts of Queensland and Northern New South Wales are flooded too at the moment. Hope you don't have floods near your house.

Unfortunately, we have to get used to and adapt to extreme weather.

@onewing Yep, I like the idea of switching off the tap. The water isn't near my home.

@blueberry1222 Thank you. I did fill my car with water once and it floated away with me in it. The car didn't make. I now have respect for what water can do.

It certainly has been a sight to experience. The whole of my lower field is still under water, although it is going down a bit now.
