Went to a Mexican food restaurant after my grandson's football game, and had the pleasure of listening to Mariachi music while we ate. My grandson does not speak Spanish at all, but he can sing a Spanish song as if he was fluent in the language.
Mariachi is a form of folk music from Mexico. Mariachi began as a regional folk style called “Son Jaliscience” in the center west of Mexico originally played only with string instruments and musicians dressed in the white pants and shirts of peasant farmers.
(As much as I wanted to eat some traditional Mexican food today, I chose a delicious salad instead made with chile-citrus marinated chicken breast, lettuce, black beans, corn, jicama, jack and cheddar cheeses and salsa picante.)
