Incredibly beautiful warm weather for June, which is supposed to be the heart of our winter. Water is still warm, sun is hot. No winter in sight as yet, although the nights are cooler.
I enjoyed this little wigwam tent; I thought it really cute. The family at the water’s edge had a very young toddler sleeping inside.
Pop up shade shelters (not as elaborate as this wigwam) have become very common sights on our beaches as people are becoming far more aware of the effects of sun damage.

Yes - I remember lying on the beach slathered in nothing else but baby oil for hours. We were so unaware then. The strongest SPF I think we could get at the time was SPF 5! I regret all that suntanning now. I have all manner of skin issues, all due to sun damage. I’m glad to see people vastly more cautious with time spent in the sun.
