I just had to mark this occasion, this is the jacket I’ve been knitting since April. I’ve finally finished it and all told it’s taken about 5 weeks. It would have been sooner but of course I had to wait for 6 weeks after my shoulder op before I could hold the needles again. The 30+ comes from how long it has been since I made an adult jacket. I’ve only done a few bits when the grandchildren were born. I had to give up when my damaged neck made it impossible to hold my needles, my right hand was perpetually numb until my neck fusion in 2012. It’s not ideal but I can now knit in a different way so as not to put pressure on my neck, I could have picked a plain pattern this is 2x2 moss stitch which is basically all rib which I hate knitting, but I love to punish myself!! I already have another project to start but it will be a longer project next time. It’s nice to finish a project I thought I would never manage.
No better on black!
Thank you for all your lovely comments and favs all are appreciated and welcome.
I love the back story and am so glad you are back knitting. Super photo and all the better for seeing a peek of the pattern image too. The cardy looks beautiful.
