Silage by craftymeg

Silage

We were in the countryside yesterday between Chop Gate and Carlton Bank, the verges and hedges are getting so overgrown after days of rain, the crops are getting golden and will be harvested next month. In the meantime fields have been harvested and bales wrapped in black plastic to start the grass fermenting into silage that is fed to the cattle in winter months, there were bales in nearly every field we passed. Temps were 21c and very humid, today is not so nice with no sunshine but at least temps have stayed around 18-20c
Nice on black

Thank you for all your comments and favs all are so welcome and appreciated as always.

That's a beautiful stone wall. Our farmers use black plastic, too, if they use anything at all. Nice view of the valley, Margaret.
