Gribdale moor taken two weeks ago, this shot was taken from about 2 miles away but shows the group of walkers and the sea of bracken quite clearly, beyond this is Great Ayton and Stokesley. I have never taken the moors from this angle before. For anyone interested as the road disappears you take a left turn through the wooded area and walk up over the moor to Captain Cooks Monument and if you take a right turn just beyond the bracken this takes you over the moor to Roseberry Topping, a very popular hiking area.
The light is terrible and it’s poured down today, my camera has not had an outing in days. Hopefully it will start to get out as the forecast has promised. I won’t hold my breath though as this part of the coast has its own micro climate, we have had 5 days of grey miserable sea fret and cold rain and only 14c while the rest of the country has been melting!
