This is the heather taken today over Commondale way, it’s not nearly as good this year. Trouble is I don’t think it’s going to be any better, not a good year at all. The weather may have something to do with it but as each year comes and goes the heather varies. We have not had a decent year for about 6 years. The drystone wall is well kept in this area with the fields well defined shown on this capture. The weather showed some improvement with sunshine but cool with temps of 15c over the moors, it’s starting to feel autumnal.

Lovely composition and colourful. I am sure weather affects these things - every year certain plants do better than others. I am not a good enough gardener to know why!
. But disappointing for you.. I have looked forward to your Heather shots
