walking along a narrow path through the village we noticed these salt boxes for scattering salt on the icy footpaths in winter. I liked the rust and textures in this pic.

What a great idea. Never seen them before, but essential in the UK in winter. Nothing worse than skidding on your bum when its icy and freezing cold.

@lyndemc you know Denise I never even noticed the little shovel until you pointed it out. what a sharp eye. I was in such a hurry to snap the pic because we were on a narrow road which was quite busy. Thankyou so much for pointing it out !
