sadly its got to go by cruiser

sadly its got to go

this large Golden Ash tree has the mark of doom on it. A lot of work is being done around our creek to restore it to a natural environment. This means getting rid of exotic trees and weeds and replanting with natives. As they new trees start to grow it is looking lovely
Well that does seem awfully sad doesn't it? I often wonder about the whole idea of "native". Surely change and evolution is natural in the environment over time. Anyway, it's lovely that your community is taking an interest :). Interesting subject!

Great they do it. It`s a bit pity the trees has to move but a natural planting is much to preffer.

Interesting its happening here too

Such a shame that it has to go. I wonder why only native trees can be planted, whatever happened to multiculturalism, ha ha.

I really don't think any tree should be taken down just because it's not native! But I understand the concept of returning this area back to its former state. I'd much rather see them take out the saplings than a full grown tree, but that's progress- or maybe regress in the case!

I don't get it. There are a lot of similar activities here, in a "globalised" world?

Can't they replant it elsewhere? Congratulations for the respective authority for taking such action to restore the area to its natural beauty.

This is interesting. Is it really necessary to remove old exotic trees?

should be wonderful once all the alien vegetation is removed and everything is restored and growing strong

@veengupta even though we are sad to see the exotic trees it will encourage our native wildlife back to the area.
