the landslide by cruiser

the landslide

this is a landmark at Katoomba in the Blue Mountains looking like the rock has been cut with a knife. It occurred in 1931 when the original cliff face split off. Small landslides had been happening for some time and it became a tourist attraction with hundreds of people flocking to the sight waiting for the final collapse but apparently it occurred at night and no one saw it.
Neat capture, composition, layers

Isn't that just like Nature to put up such a teaser and then slip it by when no one is looking! Beautiful shot.
