the very old ornamental grape vines which used to cover the pergola and even climb up onto the roof if not kept in check have been cut back to their trunks.I am sure they will survive and I plan to train them to just climb along the edge of the new woodwork.

They will start again with a new grow. ( hope so)

That is a thick trunk- which tells me the vine is really old!

A huge trunk for a grapevine. I'm sure with the roots it must have it will shoot again!
