some of us get really attached to our old cars. this one did us very good service and travelled hundreds of thousands of kilometers but has just been sitting around for a few years so today she went off to give her useable parts to keep other cars on the road.
I know the feeling, Chris. We tend to keep our cars until the wheels are about to fall off then donate them to charity. It's hard to say goodbye to an old friend that has served you well.
Harry has just bought an eighteen month old car after having his present one for the last Twelve years or so. He hasn't done many miles & it's as good as new but he wanted a newer one. Our son in law is having it as he can tow his boat with it. I get upset when they are ready for off so glad it's going where we know!
We get so much attached to our cars and it is very emotional to see them go after so many years of good service. I was so sorry to see my Peugeot go when I bought a new car three years ago.
Have done it many times in my life. Have been the last owner of lots of cars.
