there seems to be a couple of different kinds of aphids on this rose bud. Next time I am passing I would like to get a clearer macro of these little creatures

Looks like you do have a diverse group of aphids congregating here. A swarm of ladybugs would have a delightful time on this rose bush. :)

I know the dutch names of them . You can kill them easely with a water soap of soft soap and methylated. Or boil some water with nettle`s . Let it cool down for more than a day.

thanks everyone. Loved all your comments. Fortunately this was not one of my rose bushes. Mine have finished for the season I think. I was fascinated by the different kinds of bugs on this bud, all working away together. Pity there were no Ladybirds
