Celebration

This paper mache' giraffe was made several years ago by a student at the nearby high school. He lives in the local library and this weekend is dressed up for ANZAC day. He changes his dress theme for different celebrations. You can still see a few Easter bunnies amongst the poppies.
Great feature. Love this!

ANZAC day? Seeing the poppies, I'm guessing that it is a day of remembrance?

@mrsbluesky yes, you're right. ANZAC day is our most important national occasion. It stands for Australian and New Zealand Army Corps. It marks the landing of these soldiers in Gallipoli. It is now the day we remember the sacrifice of those who died in war.
