This memorial was erected soon after World War 1 and was paid for by the 50 households here at the time. they contributed 5 pounds each which was more than 2 weeks wages. A stand of pine trees each with a plaque at its base was planted as a special tribute to those who died. this year I am going to post a picture of each soldiers plaque on the date they died.
