Today we headed off down south again, to The Broads
It was a shame that is was a grey day, as I was looking forward to getting some good reflections.
We started off at Ranworth,
exploring the church and the church tearooms
in the grounds of the church.
and walked along the board walk to the wildlife centre.
The plan was to catch the boat ferry, and experience some of the feel of The Broads.
Unfortunately the only boat had been chartered to take a couple of people on a longer tour of the lake! :(
Why??
The walk back was pleasant enough and the sun appeared.
My daughter is a very reluctant walker, but board walks are much more interesting.
We stopped off at the visitor centre to find out where we could find more board walks and were directed to Hickling Broad.
The directions and publicity were rather sketchy,
but we did manage to find our way there.
We arrived at closing time, so decided to return on another occasion.
And, that, broadly speaking, was our day....
