This Christmas by daffodill

This Christmas

After finishing hanging the Nativity scene in the church hall,
and taking the Macmillan banner back to the Macmillan office,
We looked at the sky, which was looking really interesting and decided to head down towards the Cotswolds.
After failing to locate Saintbury church, it appears to be accessed across some fields and we couldn't find anywhere safe to park in the nearby, so we headed towards Mickleton.
By now the cloud had won and it was feeling rather grey and cold.
The church is very interesting, with clay representations of the stations of the cross, on window cills around the building .
Lunch was at The Kings Arms in Mickleton.
We sat beside a roaring fire in a very cosy room eating a very nice club sandwich & skinny fries.
It reminded me of the song 'This Christmas'.
The sun claimed victory over the cloud, and we went for a wander round the village.
We headed back to Willersey, our original target.
The church is delightful. it's not a stone museum, I could imagine it being used for worship in a variety of ways.
it was also warm & cosy.
Headed back via Morrisons.
A great day out :)
What a lovely jolly, Rose.
