Psalm 119:105

Today we headed off into rural Herefordshire, through rural Worcestershire. Yes we could have taken the main roads & motorways, but we didn't!
We started off with wall to wall sunshine, with the odd cloud sat on the odd hill top.
The low sun, highlighted all the ridges & furrows in the fields, and created magical silhouettes.
We diverted once, intentionally to Kimbolton Church, and then unintentionally to Weobley, as the sat nav picked the High Street there, not one in Hereford itself, as expected. Weobley is a beautiful village and it has been added to the ever lengthening list of places we intend to return to!
We then headed into Hereford, where Rachel discovered that she is not fond of careless dog owners! We parked close to the River Wye, which appeared to be running very high. While the sun shone it was exceedingly photogenic, without the sun it looked like a muddy river in full flow!
We visited the Cathedral shop - Christmas present & replacement Gloria CD, Pilgrims Progress - Bible study guide for when we finally finish reading through Mark (only 18 months spent on this so far...) a modern Christmas CD, some books and Just one small candle....
We popped into a couple more gifty type shops, but were not tempted. By now the wall to wall blue skies, had turned to sullen grey skies, with stormy highlights, so we took the hint and went home!
You have to know when you're defeated but it sounds like an excellent day (apart from the dodgy dog owners - I hate them too!) and this is a beautiful photo.
