Dark and Light by daffodill

Dark and Light

From the shadows I look towards the light
Hoping the sun will break through
and brighten every hue.

I join the throng on their familiar trek
with hound, and trike
Granny in her wheelchair
buggy and cycle
and pink push along toys
to encourage the reluctant.
The impatient ring their bicyle bell
no peace to be found on the tarmac circuit.
But I with my camera ignore the throng,
the wail of the child,
the whine of the hound.
Despite the crowd I stand alone,
marvel at the light
and ripples on the lake
and the harmony of plant and branch
that declare praise
to their heavenly creator.
Let those feet onwards plod
over tarmac and sod
and I will give praise
to my Father God.
Amazing capture---love the framing :)

love the way the ground plants mirror the tree branches - a solid reflection :-)

Very moody looking shot - damp and cold.
