I have been hoping to be able to see a glimpse of Northern Lights since we moved to our new place in February.
From an online Facebook site I follow, “Northern Lights Alert” there was a chance Monday night we’d be able to and we were outside at about 9:30pm (Mountain Standard Time) and we managed to see some for a few minutes. We only had our phones so the photos are not the best and are grainy I did slightly adjust the light in the photos but to me it’s a small proof we actually saw them and I am happy about that.
When we lived in Edmonton, Alberta and Saskatoon, Saskatchewan we could more easily see them and they were much stronger and vibrant.
I’m still very thankful we did see them on Monday night. There was also a full moon that night.
How exciting. Something I would love to see. Well the Aurora Australis here in the southern hemisphere. My daughter saw it recently, but she lives in Melbourne on the south coast of Australia. We live too far north to see it though.
