The day was supposed to be warm. However, the clouds lingered and the day was cold. This pond is still frozen over.
This photo is for the textures part of the black and white photography blook club. I was at a workshop today and this shot was taken as I walked to my car in the parking lot.
@olivetreeann Thanks! This goes back to what I learned from Freeman Patterson's book: think about what you want to express first and then select the subject (cold winter/cold winter landscape).
@pyrrhula Thank you. Although I have found the beauty in the 2013-14 winter, I would be willing to share some of the snow, ice and cold with you, if I could.
@la_photographic Thanks! I wished I would have had my better camera with me. I had to take a lot of things to the workshop, so I took my lighter and smaller camera, which flattened this scene a bit when I zoomed in.
