The days in February have flown by. I flip the calendar page to the month of March. I wonder: Will the gray skies of February turn into the blue skies of March? Will the harsh winter change into soft spring? Will the leaves pop out on these bare branches? Will the flowers bloom and cover the earth with color? I wonder so much as February closes with a gray sky day, in preparation for yet another major winter storm.

In March, my photography will switch from black and white to color. Well, I will have color most of the time. I don't want to lose what I have learned about black and white photography. Therefore, I plan to have Black and White Wednesdays in March. In addition, I plan to join the Macro March group and post macro photos in March. I have learned much about black and white photography in February, but I am ready for a change in the month of March.
P.S. I have been working on light/dark contrasts this week. In some ways, it looks like I went away from this today and in some ways, I did. The original image was very low contrast. I upped the contrast a lot to get it to look like this. However, I did not up the contrast as much as I could. I wanted to retain that gloomy gray aspect that characterised today.
