Ready to Bloom

The winter weather took a break and so did I. Instead of staying home and continuing to photograph my puddle in the alley series, I traveled to the public gardens about one and a half hours from my house. I had a great time photographing the plants in the conservatory with a friend. There was a special exhibit featuring succulents and cacti. I wanted to share this photo of this flower stalk. The flowers are ready to burst into full bloom. Whenever there is a break in the winter weather, I feel that way too. I am ready for Spring! I know that there will be more winter weather. However, I can bring all of us a bit of spring with this photo.

How neat that they're all about the same stage ready to burst open. Those buds are beautiful with their tiny red tip against the yellows. Beautiful shot.
