Drooping Amaryllis by daisymiller

Drooping Amaryllis

The amaryllis blossoms are already wilting. They were so beautiful. I wish they lasted longer. For this photo, I tried a different composition and a different lighting. I took the plant over to the front door and shot pictures with back lighting.

This is for the Flash of Red (BW) challenge. Practice using the Rule of Thirds, choosing one of the components of a good shot for your emphasis (pattern, shape, form, texture, line, or contrast). Pay particular attention to the lighting and framing in your images.
Lovely shot! Almost "etherial"! Great in B&W.

I love how the back-lighting brought out the detail in the petals. Great job in thinking this through and then putting it together.
