Red Sunflower

My neighbors planted some hybrid sunflower seed. They are particularly fond of this red sunflower that grew from that seed. I can see why. I think this blossom is spectacular.

@maggiemae I saw a red sunflower on display at the state fair a few years ago, but this is the first time I have seen a red sunflower in a garden.

@deborah63 @sangwann @congaree I really like this sunflower too. My neighbor bought a seed packet of these. Only two red sunflower plants grew. The rest have deep yellow petals with a bit of orange on the petals.
