Looking over the tomato plants

The male cardinal appeared to be looking over the tomato plants.
That's not who's taking the bites out of my tomatoes, is it? Nice capture of this cardinal.

He really wants your sunflower seeds so he's distracting you into thinking he's after the tomatoes! Good shot!

@milaniet Thanks. Lots of animals eat the tomatoes in my garden. I am not certain if cardinal birds eat tomatoes or not, but I know that some birds do eat tomatoes.

@olivetreeann Thanks. Yes, I think this cardinal was there to eat the sunflower seeds. He was most likely looking for the hawks and eagles that fly over my yard.

@beryl Thank you.

@sangwann Thank you. So far, only the cherry tomatoes are ripe. The slugs seem to like eating them, but I have not seen anything else eating the cherry tomatoes.
