Washed ashore

You never know what you will find down on the beach. Storm clouds rolling in. The coconut was there for me to photograph apparently! Hillsboro Inlet Lighthouse in the background.

Might also classify as "bright white" for today's word. Just a coincidence, not planned.
Very nice low angle capture Danette!! I first thought the coconut was a rock. I guess I am used to seeing coconuts without their outer shell!

Great capture. I thought the coconut was a rock too. I usually see them with their outer shell. Great layers and perspective in this shot.

@daisy Thanks, Kathryn! This would be the outer shell, not the one containing the meat.

@bdb3471 Thanks, Brian! Has to be careful of the rogue waves. Ca,era was almost in the sand.

Coconut? Jeez... I thought it was a sea lion or something! Great pov!

@pjonas Haha, Patty! We don't have many cool animals wash ashore here. Sometimes manatees beach themselves if they are sick. I have never seen one on the beach.

That's a coconut? It's huge!!! What a gorgeous scene!!

@clmiller Thanks, Caren! It does look big but it's only average sized. 12-14". :-)

The more I looked, the more I liked! Fav. Great composition from the pov of the coconut to the rolling clouds. Wonderful shot.

@dreams Thank you, Karen!

@lynnb Thanks for such nice comments and the fav, Lynn!!! I was happy to see the coconut and had already take a number of shots I was pleased with when I changed my position. To me, it is a different mood than what I would typcially capture here in S. Fla. Not a summery feel here.
