Progress

For those of you wanting to see the progress of my village...here it is. I was able to spend a little time working at it. I believe the hard part is behind me (at least for this section). I need to add some things before I light the buildings. There will be a lot more light and activity! I am hoping the little elves will work overnight as I need to work tomorrow. Hoping to catch up in the afternoon. This is the "unimpressive" stage!
Beautiful collage of your progress!

Good collage to show the sequence of your work on the village. You are very creative and talented. Your village already looks beautiful.

@purdey Thanks so much, Karen. We leave it up until Super Bowl Sunday so we can enjoy it!

@bkbinthecity Thank you for appreciating it!

@chepstowgirl Thanks, Jules!

@gphelps5 You have a lot of little people...do you have a village for them to live in?

@lynnb Some days I think I have it down pat, and other days I think I am the most inefficient person ever!

@clmiller Thanks, Caren! Re-building everything takes a lot of time. Next year will be easier.

@daisy Thanks so much for your very kind words and fav, Kathryn!

@bardejov Thanks! I often use spray paint. Most of the spray paints will erode the styrofoam, which can work as a plus if you are making rocks. There are paints (water based, I think) that won't erode. For the bricks on the front, I use the little paints bought at JoAnn Fabrics and paint it on with a foam brush. The ones in the little squeeze bottles. As for decorating, we pick up things here and there that catch the eye. Just bought some cool glass tile at Lowe's yesterday that I will try to use as water. We had some stained glass that I used as water. Just takes playing around with.

How nice! It would be very interesting to see the details of your work! It must be a time consuming job I think! Lovely shots!

@anden I will post some close ups when it is ready. It is time consuming. I am glad you like the word "handy-dandy"! Your English is very good.

@simon0128 Thanks so much, Simon!
