At least I am standing and walking (best I can). This view doesn't show that the right foot is much higher than the left, throwing off my walk. Hoping it's not too yucky for you all to see. Pins come out on Monday. You wouldn't think it would be easy to hit that pin against furniture...it is way too easy! Ouch! Hoping Monday is a good day!
Danette, please be careful with the difference in height of the legs, because it can affect your hips. When I had that boot I got a higher shoe for the left. Hope you are feeling better. How is your husband?
@brav Haha, Richard, yes it is b&w. I didn't want to get overly descriptive. :-) On the day of surgery, doctor had problems getting that pinned toe to "pink up" but he finally got it. Whew!
@drewhuy One day, the screened door slammed against it. You didn't hear me scream all the way up your way?
@anazad511 Ana, I realize that the shoe is designed for me to walk on my heel. At that level, there isn't a height difference, but it does stretch out my hamstring and calf, so that can hurt. Husband should be coming home today.
@clmiller It's been an experience, that's for sure. Caren!
@raineyday You made me laugh so hard with that comment!! Thank you!
@billsouth Ah, so you've discovered the reason I can't get anywhere! It's funny...the shoe is designed to protect the foot, but it elevates it at just the right height for the shoe part to slip under furniture and slam the pin into the side. Doctor just shakes his head.
@skipt07 I was thinking about the body piercing aspect. I don't even my ears pierced. Not sure how anybody gets a body part pierced! Pins come out Monday. Just over 4 days. Yay!!!
@chrismarfil Thanks, Chris. Getting there day by day.
Not unpleasant at all. My mum had a similar op done back in May...see my photo of the 26th May...now that was gross...probably too much detail for most. I like it in B&W...wish I had dont this with my one.
@dreams Interesting that my pins have heads. Seems easier to pull out. I go out all the time, but I guess getting dirty hasn't been an issue. Did her feet feel frozen? Twice a day, my foot feels like it's in a block of ice. I even used heat today to no avail. Pain meds work, though. Weird. I did the b&w because there were so many colors in the photo, I thought it was distracting.
@danette Her foot was done in autumn and she lives out west so not so cold then. I dont recall her complaining of the cold...just the pain. I think having a pin head is a great idea, but she didnt have trouble having them taken out.......she got an infection afterwards :( Goodluck with yours x

@corgimom Oh, the things we do for photos! :-)

Glad to hear you're losing the pins soon. Hope your foot heals fully and swiftly.
@hollandcrew You made me laugh. Holey sneakers?
@embarkr Thanks for your kind words, Matt.
@emmadurnford Thanks, Emma. It hurts more under the bandages but mostly off pain meds.
Glad pins come out tomorrow, good luck!
