Sent from the Peabody Hotel in Orlando. Yay, my favorite cookie! Or, boo! My favorite cookie! They are amazingly delicious and I really try to stay away from them. For those not aware of The Peabody Hotel, their logo is a duck because they have trained ducks that parade into the lobby fountain each morning and swim there all day until their equally impressive departure. It is a sight to see!
The good news is there appear to be no blood clots, just nerve irritation. Other good news is that I can now wash my foot after a month. Ewww!
Oh, today's word is "Red", so these red cookies are most appropriate!
Love the red ducks and what a great story!! I would love to see the ducks walking into the lobby - what a sight that must be!! Hope your foot starts to improve now!!

I had my arm in a cast many years ago from breaking it in a football game. It's amazing how much your skin is replenished in four weeks time. But you'll find that out :)
How nice! And I am afraid a good cookie is one of my weaknesses! I have seen photos of the ducks at The Peabody in Architectural Digest years ago... looks like someone thinks you are extra special! Enjoy every crumb! You can run it off later!
@billsouth My son is amazed how large the newly expanded Peabody is. It is certainly beautiful and they were so nice to send these treats. The foot washing...ewww! Glad to get that over with.
@skipt07 I had a hard time composing it! Was using undercabinet lighting in the kitchen but that wasn't working, even after camera adjustments. The gold embossing and the celophane were challenges. Pulling it forward out of the light helped, along with standing the ducks up. Yeah, took me a while to wash the foot, then I did it again! I have never had a broken bone and I don't think I had to help the kids do this with any of their broken bones. It was funky!
@soboy5 I have not been to Memphis and not sure how many Peabodys there are (certainly not many). The one in Orlando is humungous!
@pamknowler Pam, they have a Duckmaster who marches them in and out on a red carpet!
@mittens I'll share! :-) They are so good! Foot certainly wasn't used to a bath and it hurt, but much, much better now.
@calm Cookies are my weakness, too. I have been bad about eating goodies sent to me so I will have a lot of running to do! I hope sooner rather than later.

@soboy5 You are right about the original one in Memphis. The one in Orlando hasn't been there all that long (10 years maybe?). The recent expansion probably doubled the size.
