Had to use an alternate word for today's word of "snake". Thought I'd take a photo of my son grilling 5 pounds of chicken that I bought today. Though I wanted to have the effect of smoke, of course the sun was long gone and I liked the contrast here.
I hope you all had a great weekend. I am pleased to report that I got to work out today for the first time this year. Took it slow, but I did it. My taskmaster did not let me slack too much.
Great shot, and very close to my heart. I love to grill, and I got my Valentine's gift today... an amazing new grill that I have been dreaming of. I'm a practical woman, and I chose it as my gift; I prefer it than some jewelry. We just used for it, and it was sooo good.
@anazad511 Ana, you are a wise woman! We gave my husband a new grill for Christmas but he hasn't used it yet. He is waiting on one more thing before he does. He was estatic. Enjoy yours!
@scooter@mittens@calm@lynnb Thanks for your comments. He loves to grill and is very good at it. Now I have a bunch of meals to freeze. It was very tasty.
@janakamom That would be so funny! I've had alligator before but never snake!
@shirleytemple Thanks, Shirley. Sometimes you just never know what will happen. I really liked the blue against the black and his face partially in shadows so I didn't bother to add more lighting or change things.
Great happy smile! Don't rule out grilled snake...I've had rattlesnake that way when I lived in Texas...better than chicken and almost as good as alligator. Glad you got out to work!
By the way, it always makes me smile when I hear "Smile, you're on Candid Camera". I had the privilege of becoming Allen Funt's friend for a few years, when I helped him design his ranch in Big Sur. I designed his horse barns. He was fun to be around! I have a lot of great memories of that time.
@billsouth You're totally right. I forgot about rattlesnake. That's very cool that you knew Allen Funt. I'll bet it was wonderful to design those barns. Architect?
@clmiller Thanks, Caren. Something different than my usual.
@danette Not an architect, but I was division president of the World's leading builder of horse barns, at that time...Umbaugh Pole Building Co. They are no longer in business. My cousin, Jim Umbaugh was the president. He just completed his year in 365 in January.
@shirleytemple Thanks, Shirley. Sometimes you just never know what will happen. I really liked the blue against the black and his face partially in shadows so I didn't bother to add more lighting or change things.
