Finally! I manage a neighborhood where this house sits. It has been in the process of foreclosure for at least 5 years. Unbelievable. The "asset manager" (I use the term loosely) has tarped and re-tarped this leaky roof many times over the years. Never once was the roof tarped correctly and the house has just rotted underneath it. Fortunately I have a pitbull friend who recently took over Code Enforcement. The City has forced Fannie Mae to get off their butts and demolish the house. Hooray! It is a day to celebrate, but truly a sad state of our times that this was allowed to happen. It was a very nice house at one time.
What a shame! I am surprised that a government run agency is capable of getting off their butts. They wrote the book on red tape and they do it so well since they practice it over and over multiple times a day! Just sayin'
@skipt07 Every once in a while, Fannie Mae surprises me in a good way. Lately they haven't been on my good side. If they will take my offer that I have tried to get the, to take for the last 6 weeks, maybe they'll be on my good side again.
