Sod farming

Well, it isn't harvesting, but prepping the soil! Sod farms do very well in the muck of the Everglades.

I blew a chance to capture a farmer riding his John Deere tractor while he raked hay yesterday evening. The sun was getting low in the sky which created along shadows and warm colors. I was in a hurry and didn't take time to stop and photograph him. My bad! Looks like nice rich soil for growing sod!

@skipt07 I'll bet that was a beautiful scene. I am looking forward to some farming scenes and long shadows in PA. I wish I could have taken more time here. I don't want people to think I'm stalking them.
