Frosty the Snowman... by danette

Frosty the Snowman...

...was a jolly, happy soul!
At the hotel where we were staying, they had huge display of ice sculptures, telling the story of Frosty! It was spectacular. The ice sculptures were life size. They brought in about 35 sculptors to do the work. There was a display from each portion of the program. The temperature was 9 degrees! At the end were ice slides. The very end had a life sized Nativity, which was wonderful.

I was really pleased with the outcome of my shots under the difficult circumstances!

I am going to tag this as the word for the day "craft", as it definitely requires skill!
That is so cool!! Love it!

Ice at Gaylord Palms?! This year's theme is much better than last years, which was Shrek. Swamp+ogres+holidays was not a good combination.

So much fun!

I'll have to see if I can dig up some of my pictures from the Shrek display....The Nativity was still at the end, and it's always beautiful.

Awesome colorful ice sculptures. My grandson went to the ice show a couple years ago and told me how freezing cold it was.

Oh wow! We have been wanting to stay there for ever now! It looks so fun! I hear they have elves that read the kids good night stories in bed! We have been to an ice sculpture event at the Queen Mary in LA but I don't think its anything like this! Great shot!

@orangecrush It's an amazing place, Jerry. We were there just after Christmas, so I don't know all the Christmas events. The ice sculptures blew my mind! They also have parkas they let you wear. I brought gloves and such.
