A shot from the Ice Hotel in Lainio, FInland.
This sculpted fish was one of many that decorated the numerous hallways of the SnowVillage. We learnt that the hotel gets built mid December each year and once the main structure is up a group of Japanese artists come in and create their works for the season. The same artists are used each year and themes are agreed as early as the previous hotel has melted away in late April early May!
I've long been fascinated by this place, but never been near it. Cool to see your pictures. My good friend in high school in Wyoming was an exchange student from Finland.
Love it!
