Old photos with new edits, no favs please (trying to honor those who are submitting new photos). :)
I'm not sure I really wanted to redo this one. Like the photo I processed the day before, I think I was using my new wide-angle lens again to create a cool effect (looking up). In processing, I decided to use some of the smoothing features and work on a dreamy feeling while retaining the odd sensation that one feels when next to something so tall and remote like this parking lot lighting system.
I worked on cloning out a part on the upper right light, and I don't think that is as smooth as I'd like, but overall, I am pleased. Not sure I would ever do anything with it, and this is what I'm asking myself this year: would I (or someone else) hang this on a wall? would I make cards with it? does it tell a story?
There's something that drew me into this -- not knowing it was yours or how you'd changed your original perspective. I'm not sure whether it rises to the 'wall hanging' level as an individual shot, but I could see this in a collection of architectural images.
